Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Trueings. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the service.
1. The service
Trueings is an AI-led, confidential feedback platform for independent professionals. You describe your work and the people you’d like feedback from; the platform runs short conversational interviews with each of them, then synthesises the responses into an anonymised report only you can see.
2. Your account
- Accounts are personal and tied to one email address. You may update the address from your dashboard.
- Sign-in is passwordless via a one-time magic link. Keep control of the email account you sign in with.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@trueings.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
3. Plans and payment
- Free — one campaign with a basic headline report.
- $50 one-off — unlocks the detailed report and development plan for a single campaign.
- $100/year — unlimited campaigns, every detailed report, drill-down chat.
Prices are charged in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Tax may be added based on your billing location. Payment is handled by Stripe; cancelling stops future renewals — already-paid periods are not refunded except where required by law.
Trial credits and promotional coupons are described at the point of redemption.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the service for genuine personal and professional development. Don’t use it to assess people who haven’t agreed to be respondents in a normal, professional way.
- Don’t attempt to identify respondents from a report, reverse the confidentiality safeguards, or bypass the minimum-N threshold.
- Don’t upload sensitive personal data about third parties (children, health, special category) into your campaign descriptions or invite lists.
- Don’t probe the service for vulnerabilities outside an agreed disclosure programme. If you find something, email security@trueings.com.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you write. You grant us a limited licence to process it for the sole purpose of running the service — generating questions, synthesising feedback, displaying your report. We do not use your content or respondent answers to train models.
6. Confidentiality and privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy notice. The hard guarantees — never seeing raw answers, minimum-N gating, opt-in-only attribution, 30-day deletion of raw transcripts — are part of the service and are enforced in code, not just promised here.
7. AI limitations
Trueings uses large-language-model AI to conduct interviews and synthesise feedback. The output is a best-effort, evidence-bound interpretation. It is not a clinical diagnosis, a legal judgement, an HR record, or an employment decision tool. Treat the report as an input to your own reflection, not a verdict.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, change features, or change sub-processors with reasonable notice.
9. Termination
- You can delete your account from the dashboard at any time. Erasure is handled per the Privacy notice.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonable; without notice where ongoing use would cause harm to other users.
10. Liability
We provide the service “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We exclude implied warranties and limit our aggregate liability for the service to the fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless a mandatory consumer protection rule of your country of residence provides otherwise. Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes prompt signed-in users to re-accept on next visit; the version number at the top of this page increments. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
